It’s important to use moisturizer every day to keep your skin hydrated and healthy, which will contribute to a more even, natural looking sunless tan. We recommend NOT to apply moisturizers 2 hours prior to a Versa Spa tanning session and 4 to 6 hours after. We have some great products to enhance your tan. Also when you shower before you spray tan, make sure you are not using a body soap with moisturizer in it as it will serve a barrier to a great tan.

We have always heard that dry, flaky skin will slough off…so that means that color will fade. Sunless tan-extending products with a light self-tanning bronzer helps hydrate skin and maintain even, natural looking color longer by providing subtle bronzers. Typically you can shower 4-6 hours after your spray tan. However, we recommend waiting as long as you can because the bronzer spray often reacts differently with each person and sometimes taking up to 12 hours to fully develop.

It is best to wait about 6 hours after your sunless session before any strenuous activities that may cause perspiration. This will give the DHA time to fully react with skin proteins as well as prevent streaking that could result from excessive perspiration.

The longevity of a sunless tan depends on the skin’s natural exfoliation process and how your take care of your sunless tan after the application. Normally, a sunless tan will last 4-7 days.

The frequency of sunless tanning depends on your skin cell turn over and preference of color intensity. Our Sunless Membership allows you to tan 5 times per month…so you can keep your tan!

Yes of course and lots of customers do it! Since sunless tanning is UV-Free, you are welcome to tan either before or after completing a Versa Spa session. Check our pricing and membership packages and give it a try. We have robes you can use to change rooms. We simply call it a Cocktail and customers love it!

Some of the bronze “cosmetic tint” color may rub off on clothing or bed sheets. This is most likely to happen when you get dressed immediately after tanning. To minimize the chance of the tint transferring to clothing, we suggest that you wear loose-fitting, darker clothes after your session. The cosmetic tint is water-soluble which means…in most cases, the color will come out of clothing in the wash.

Barrier Cream is applied as a protective barrier to prevent unwanted color on the porous areas such as hands, feet, nails and cuticles. You should dispense a generous amount of Barrier Cream onto your hands and apply an even coating to the palms of the hands, in-between the fingers, tips of fingers, covering nails and around the cuticles. Also apply a generous layer of Barrier Cream to the top of feet, in-between the toes, covering toenails and cuticles. We have Barrier Cream in the Versa Spa Pro Room for you to use.
